This report comes from Rayan Silie, missionary to Honduras and beyond, and gives you a glimpse of how the ministry is being grown there.
Dear friends and churches,
Thank you for your prayers and support, and for the love you have for me, my family, and your willingness to stand with us as we follow the Lord’s will. The Lord is truly at work, and I’m excited to share how He’s been opening doors.
In February, I was invited to lead a soul-winning clinic in a nearby village. I taught the group the practical steps of soul-winning—how to share the gospel step-by-step. We went out together, and 10 souls were saved—five through my personal witness. Afterward, I preached to a full church of about 70, and many were encouraged to go out themselves. That’s when I met Olvin, a young man I’ve been working with one-on-one as one of my Timothies. Every Tuesday and Thursday, he spends almost the entire day with me, learning how to preach, sharing the gospel, and growing in how to serve the Lord.

In March, the Lord led me to focus on the church in Suyapa, just 10 to 15 minutes away. I began preaching there each Saturday, and we grew from two to about ten members. March turned into a season of trusting the Lord and following His plan. Although I had my own plans, I kept remembering that the Lord sets our path, and I must follow His plan. At the same time, I started a Wednesday discipleship in a nearby village with 35 adults.

In April, I began a Friday discipleship in another village, about an hour away up in the mountains, with around 40 young adults. One young man, whom I first met during February’s outreach, is now faithfully attending. I’m praying for the chance to begin working with him more, asking the Lord that He would turn him into one of my Timothies. This ministry is all about finding these young men who want to serve the Lord—they just need an avenue, and the Lord is opening doors everywhere.

Please continue to pray for Suyapa’s growth, these souls, and the young men the Lord keeps putting in my path. Also, please pray for our visa process, which has become more difficult and more expensive than we originally thought. Thank you again for all you do, for the support you give, and most importantly, for the prayers and love you show us. We are so grateful.
