Democratic Republic of the Congo

Special Projects The Great Commission Fund

Democratic Republic of the Congo

Thanks to the support of our Great Commission Fund, one of our groups was able to make their way to the East of the DRC to spread the Word, encourage new believers and demonstrate the love of Christ. Read the report below of the trip.

We give thanks to God for you, we thank God for the grace that is upon you, and indeed you have manifested that grace and love to God, to us, to the lost souls and to the Great Commission. This grace and love manifested through you, has been a great help and support to us in the harvest field to fulfill the Great Commission. We really appreciate it and will keep needing you for the furtherance of the gospel of Christ to the lost world.

Last month from 27th February to 17th March 2025, we made a mission trips to the Eastern part of our country, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. About 500 Miles from our home, Kinshasa the capital city. This is a region where many Christians, pastors and God’s servants doesn’t like to go because of insecurities caused by civil wars, tribes conflicts called “MUBONDO”, and religious conflicts (Christian, Catholics, Muslims, Kimbanguism / “an African religion that believe in and worship Africans gods and Kimbangu and his children as god the father, the son and the holy spirit”, the god of blacks and others. We had five (5) full business days to travel in a very small boat on the water to reach there. Were able to meet some people who flee their own village due to these conflicts and now they living a very sorrowful and miserable life. No food, no place to sleep neither clothes to wear. WE FELT ASHAMED TO STAND BEFORE A WOMAN… Just understand what we mean here.

We arrive on 3rd March and next day we started the work of reaching villages through preaching of the gospel and the grace of God that save lost souls.

THE WORK IN BONKULU AND SURROUNDING VILLAGES

We had to use motorcycles to reach these villages using a very small rood in the bush. While on the way, we looked at the condition of the rood, were all kind of being discouraged, but what amazed us is when we start reaching and meeting people in these villages. Every village, people welcomed us with love for God and hearts opened to the gospel. You can see right on their faces what their hearts desires. We preach Christ to them and many people gave their lives to Christ and believe in Christ as Lord and personal Savior.

At the end, we gave them for freely of charge Pure Water Systems to purify their drinking, bathing and using water. To stay safe from typhoid, ameba and all kinds of germs and many more diseases. We also gave them some hard copy of bibles for them to keep reading, learning and growing in grace and knowledge of who Christ is. We also gave them some different types of clothes to wear. At the end of all, we left these people with great joy and thanks giving hoping and praying to see us return and revisit them in few days or months to come. Please pray for this.

THE WORK IN BANDUNDU AND NEIGHBORHOOD AREAS

Due to much insecurities and other details, we decided to regroup people from neighborhood Bandundu ville to one place for a small conference for 5 days openly under the sunshine from Wednesday 5th to Sunday 9th March 2025 around the theme that said “BEHOLD THE MAN” in John 19:5. So we presented the “Man”, “Jesus Christ” a man who is able to love you freely, save you freely, keep you and bring you to heaven freely. It was a great blessing moment to all of us and God did a lot and amazing things.

  • We saw people coming to us with their witchcrafts and we bunt them,
  • People repented their bad habits,
  • About 200 people received Christ as Lord and personal Savior,
  • Some Christians that were there, were so encouraged and built up to keep the walk of faith in Christ.
  • We mate some backslidden pastors due to hardship of life (one because of tribe conflict, they killed his son, 22years old with machetes while him watching. So sad story, I wept when he was telling us the story).
  • At the end of all, they asked us “why are you living us now?” we had no other choice than starting a church meeting with them. We prayed for one pastor, his name is Bafoka and Egide and Brother Junior to take over and feed these God’s sheeps while we keep watching over them. SO, ONE MORE CHURCH HAS BEEN PLANTED DURING THIS MISSION TRIP.
This is the new Church that has been planted during the missions trip.

We had time to give out once again for freely of charge more Pure Water Systems to purify their drinking, bathing and using water. For them to stay safe from typhoid, ameba and all kinds of germs and many more diseases. We also give them some hard copy of bibles for them to keep reading, learning and growing in grace and knowledge of who Christ is. We also give them some different types of clothes to wear. This is the new Church that has been planted during the missions trip.

From the 10th to 12th March we had a leadership and discipleship training. About 50 people, men and women, were engaged in the work of God for the ongoing vision and the Great Commission. Please pray for them.
