Wells in Kenya

Praise the Lord for your faithfulness to fund two more wells, pumps and water tanks at feeding centers in Kenya! Please read the report from our regional director and be blessed by the results.

We are so grateful for the funds we received, and we used to drill boreholes and install water tanks in our two centers. I have videos of the two preachers giving a brief testimony of the impact this project has already had and will have. I have witnessed people living near Cheplaskei Baptist coming to get water from the church. They are very grateful to God for this blessing. It is just a matter of time before they can become new church members.

Illula Baptist dedicated their well a week from this past Sunday and women were so happy that now the feeding program can run smoothly with the problem of fetching water from far away having been solved. They have already started a small church project of planting vegetables as you will see in the video that can help raise income for the church and provide the greens to our feeding program. The funds also helped in building a small caretaker room who will be staying at the church and taking care of the equipment that we recently purchased. There have been cases of pumps and solar panels being stolen in newly dug boreholes in the area. Therefore, we saw it fit to build a single room for that purpose.

This far it has been the Lord. We now have 4 centers out of 5 with their borehole, solar panel, and pump. We are remaining with one center Bethel Baptist Church which has requested that you help with raising a tank stand and purchasing a tank, pump, and its accessories. This is after a long wait to install electricity in the church which has prolonged since they made an application. They now have electricity and have an already dug borehole which they have been using to draw water manually. Since they have electricity, they will not be using solar, and no need to have a caretaker in the church. Once they have the pump sunk into the well, they can seal the mouth of the well for the security of the pump. The amount needed for the timber stand, plumbing, tank, pump, pipes, and accessories will cost $1,900.

We also have one of our churches that I visited under Soy Fellowship churches, Beroya Baptist Church which is pastored by Pst Mwangi. He took over this church when the previous pastor joined another ministry. The church had its own borehole, solar panel, pump, and water storage tank that had been funded by the other ministry. When this pastor left, he took the solar panel and the pump leaving the church stranded with no water. In my visit report, I had shared with you that they are in need of funds to purchase a pump and solar panels for their borehole which totals to $1,000. They still have the stand with a 3000l tank and a borehole with much water.

Pray for the two needs above.

Bethel Baptist – $1,900

Beroya Baptist – $1,000
